i have been dating this guy for 2 weeks and he kept telling people that we were just friends but when he talked to me and his older brothers he said that we were going out. well, today i wrote him a note today saying that i just want to be friends.well he acts now that i broke his heart. so what do i do????

Sounds to me he likes several girls on the side..... Then he never has to go out alone. If he can't tell his friends that you and he are going out then I would be suspicious of his motives. You didn't break his heart, he has to have one first. You just hurt his over inflated ego.....How many girls can I string along? Find a guy who is worthy of the person you are. You sound like you have feelings, he does not, except for himself.

When I enter a relationship and it's at the beginning stages, he's a friend. Some people like close family members may know I have a stronger interest but others only know what they need to know for now. It sounds like he did really like you and wanted to see if things would have gone further. He believed they were going in a different direction then what you told him in your "note". Maybe you should have told him face to face. You hurt his feelings, I'm sure if it was you in his shoes, you'd be hurt too.

Why did you say you just wanted to be friends if you wanted more? Otherwise...stick w/your instincts...it probably would have been nicer if you broke up w/him face to face rather than a note...but I'm sure he'll get over it soon enough... not like you were married or dating for years...two weeks is nothing.

TO ALL THE PEOPLE who think she should talk to him...he has already proven he is not a good communicator, and not terribly honest about his feelings. Why should she talk to him? So he can blow smoke up her a@@ and confuse her even more?
This is MOST womens problem w/ men. They don't want to believe that bad behavior means bad things. IT DOES!

Well if you really just want him as a friend, then be firm with your decision & give him some time to adjust his feelings towards you. That should work. Don't change your decision of you aren't sure about your own feelings yet, as it may hurt him even further in the future!
