I am often asked what retired people do to make their days more interesting.
Well, for example, they other day I went down town and went into a shop. I was only in there five minutes and when I came out a cop was writing a parking ticket, and I said "How about giving a retired person a break?" He ignored me and continued writing.
So, I called him a "Nazi". He glared at me, then started writing another ticket for worn tires.
So, I called him a "doughnut munching Gestapo". He finished the second ticket and put it on the windshield with the first, then started writing a THIRD ticket for the crack in the windshield!
The more I abused him verbally, the more tickets he wrote. This went on for about 20 minutes until it looked like an origami flower under the windshield wiper.
Personally, I didn't care. I had come down town on the bus, and the car had a "Hillary in '08" bumper sticker on it.
I try to have a little fun each day. It's good for my health.
