In Indiana, the legal age of consent is 16. At 16 you can have sex with anyone you chose as long as they are not providing more than 50% of your support, unless you are married. If you get pregnant at 16 you can get married to the father, but you must petition the courts to do it. Technically, the father could still get into trouble, but only if the girl's parents press charges against him and even then it's difficult to convict the father if the mother says that it was consentual sex. If you are in a situation like this look into the laws of your state and talk to your parents about what's going to happen. Most parents will not press charges unless their child wants to and don't make a decision based on being mad at the father because you broke up or if your fighting.

If age of consent is 16 in your state nothing, even in most states they will not try to do anything to the father if he's doing what he is supposed to do working, supporting you and taking responsibility for the baby. Under 16 is where there are more problems. No state wants another fatherless child raised in a broken home, I feel this is why so many young adults these days are so violent and turning to drugs etc.

Nothing as long as it doesn't get brought to the states attention. And no it doesn't have to just be the girl's parents who press charges anyone can. So can the hospital when the baby is born. Make sure you don't put the fathers name on anything. Not even the birth cirtificate. If you don't want the father prosecuted with a possible sentence of 15 yrs in prison. It happened to a friend of mine. If anyone asks do not tell them who it is. You can deal with your parents anyway you like. But don't put him on any documents or mention him to the hospital. he can come to the hospital just don't mention that he is the father or his age. Just say he's a friend. Whether this is for you or a friend this is good advice. My friend i currently serving 3 yrs in prison right now he almost got 10 and then got it reduced but coulda gotten 15.

It depends on who they are.
For example if they are a pizza delivery company, they will knock on the door and hand the father a large size sicilian pizza.
If on the other hand they are the police, they may arrest and charge the father with an offence, depending on the state in which he committed the alleged offence.
If on the other hand, they are the Roman Catholic clergy and the father is a priest, they will keep the whole thing a secret and transfer the father so that his new job is head of a girls convent.

I believe that's known as Statutory Rape - at least it is in the northern parts of the United States (and in a few southern states now too).
Generally the father goes to jail and the mother gets grounded by her parents or sent away to a home for young stupid mothers-to-be.

Depends on how the parents choose to deal with issue since legally the mother is still a minor. If she chooses to be emancipated from her parents and the legal system agrees then there is very little that can be done to either father or mother to be.

In Texas, father goes to jail if someone presses charges (like the girls parents). Sexaul assault of a minor and statutory rape.

it depends on the age difference and the laws in that state. the girls parents or even the state can press charges and the guy could go to prison for a while.
