That is the problem, as an American first I can't hold with a party that calls our troops,"cold blooded killers" Murtha, "terrorizing women and children in the night" Kerry, "I'm going to take from you for the common good" Hilary, compares Gitmo to "soviet gulags,or Pol Pot" Durbin. The Dem talking heads don't sound like Americana's first they sound like our enemy. When the Dem's get back on board then we can be one happy family. hahahahahaha

I am an American. A true American! I don't ***** about my country but support all of it's decisions! That is a true American. I am neither a Democrat or Rebublican and actually do not usually vote because I think both parties have something to offer. Why can't we find someone who represents ideals from both parties to elect as president? We need to stay united, especially against the Islamo-Facists, otherwise, we will fall. You are correct.

America has many good things going for it.
I do not feel disrespectful toward the soldiers.
Blind obdience to political leaders is super-dangerous and un-American. This is what Hitler demanded of the German people. Look where he lead them!!
A really big part of what makes America strong and has earned respect from others in the past is our ability to question, protest and make sure bad ideas and crooked schemes are stopped.

The only real Americans were the founding fathers because they didn't belong to any party because there weren't any parties. George Washington was an American and Congress was made up of Americans only but soon after Washington left office political parties formed and ruined American forever (and almost completely destroyed it during the Civil War).

Yep, I completely agree with that statement. And I believe if push came to shove as Americans we'd all come together over adversity that would effect us all!

I do, but today both parties teach too much entitlement to receive not to contribute. I wish we could combine Martin Luther King's I Got a Dream speech with JFK's inaugural address -"Ask not what your country can do for you but what you can do for your country".
