Personally I never experienced that problem but my sister had that condition through 4 pregnancies. The best thing to do is- listen to your doctor's advise, keep all your prenatal checkups , know what labor can be like ( all labor is not the same) let those close to you know of your condition and expect to get to the hospital quickly.

My sister had severe back pain with her first daughter(now 24) - it was labor. Her water broke and she had cramping but no "normal pains like they show on television" with her first son(now 27) - that was also labor. No classic timed pains with her second daughter (now 22) just one long nagging pain across her abdomen.

When she was going through this there was no Internet and very little information but all her children were healthy. Hope that helps. Also found you a link on the Internet of other women that have this condition.

There is peace of mind in company.

I had this with my second pregnancy. Luckily mine wasn't bad and it actually corrected itself. You will probably have to have a c-section. You can't have the placenta first because it's the baby's blood and oxygen supply.
Good luck and I hope everything works out for the best.

My sister in-law had it while pregnant with my niece. She was born early and only 3 pounds, but has developed normally since. Don't stress, follow your doctor's advice on bed rest.

It's previa. Your doctor should give you guidelines on what you can and cannot be doing. Mine turned out okay, but I saw a specialist.
