Im 25 years old and have never met my real father, I have just recently asked my mother for any information she may have on him but it was very limited. My mother is 45 and said he was a bit older, his first name is Michael and his last name may be Crough but my mother was not 100% on that. In 1981 he was an I.T. person for a major computer company of the time doing work at Luke AFB in Arizona, she was in her 20's when she got pregnant, when she told him he said he didn't want involved so she left to come back home here in Oklahoma. I have no idea how to track down someone with this limited of information so any help or advice any of you may have could be very helpfull, thanks.

Also, once i find him can i request DNA testing to prove paternity or anything along those lines. I guess what im asking is what are my rights after 25 years? I feel like I should have some if I do actually find my biological father.

The easy thing would be to tell you to phone 1-800-USSEARCH, but I know for a fact that the search is not worth it. They provide you with information that you could get for free with a little work. Your best bet is to call that company that he used to work for and ask them if your biological father worked for them, and confirm his actual last name. Then google his name and see what comes up. If googling isn't to your taste, you could head to the library, and see if they have old phone books for the area where he used to live and look up his phone number and old address. Or you could call the operator for Arizona and see his name comes up. The number for the operator is 1-(area code for arizona ) 555-1212. The area code listed for Arizona are 480, 520, 602, 623, 928. Incidentally the number 555-1212 is a remote directory assitant number, and can help you with nation wide listings. Hope this helps somewhat.

Start by calling the HR Department at Luke AFB in Arizona. Tell them you are seeking a name only. From there there are locator services online who for around $50.00 can help you track him down. You need a full name age - as close as possible to his age. Good luck.

Go to google type in people search you will see a site called, intellisus (spelling may not be correct). You will have to narrow it down by age and state. Hope that helps.

you should talk to your parents and tell them what you want, maybe the place/companie/angency that your mom used has the info.
