i have this hw about articles;nouns used as adjectives and dont really get it

articles are usually a, an and the.

A noun is a person, place or thing. An adjective is a descriptive word, like blue, fast, shiny. An adverb is a word that describes a verb (action word) and almost always ends in "ly" - quickly, sharply, angrily.

he's not talking about a an, etc....those aren't nouns...I am trying to think of a noun used as an adjective...get back in a minute when I can think of some.
I just thought of two: porch light (porch is a noun but in this case it is an adjective describing what kind of light)
another: house fly (house can be a noun also, but in this case it is describing what kind of fly....therefore it is an adjective_
