Hello, I'm in med school and i have those subjects too. Basically, with anatomy especially, you need to study the material as soon as you get it otherwise it'll just pile up and almost be imposible to memorize exam weeks.

as for technique, repeating is you're best friend. just read through the matirial one day, and the next go through it again and so on. the more time you read/learn about it, you'll eventually 'know' it.

good luck :)

for chemistry i would re-do the problems in the book until you have no trouble doing them-at the end of the chapter as well as thorough out the chapter as well. learn your formulas via flashcards, re-writing the formulas somehow like in problems that require you to remember it. also, try to read the chapter-each- around 3 times: once it is more like skimming, twice-you probably will get more info then the first time, and the last time to understand and maybe outline the chapter as you go. outline the chapter-each- after you read it at least twice and use only the main points that you will hav eon a test or quiz. outlining the chapter and then printing it as your study guide for a test works! for anatomy: read, re-read the notes, talk to your teacher if you are confused or do not understand certain parts of the material, go for tutoring if your school offers it for free as well as talk with your teacher outside the class and ask questions. remember key words, think of how to apply them to real ideas, not whole sentences. the key for anatomy is: key words, key phrases, memorize, memorize and memorize but understand what you are studying!remember concepts and how to apply them!i hope that helps since i also had to take anatomy and chemistry as well but i was a science major!
