Drugs are in fact NOT bad, drugs enlighten the mind to think as " a different mind" and can be helpful when proving how strong the human mind is with or with out drugs. Truth is, not everyone is the same, and drugs react differently with different people. In our history, major government documents have be written and thought up by fore fathers who were under the influence of opiates, heavy amounts of alcohol, and sometimes marijuna. So, now I ask you, If our fore fathers weren't so drugged up and intent on not being one with the their previous duties and religions, would we have as much free will in America as we do now??

Philosophically I agree with you if your referring to all drugs. While opiates were legal and available in America at that time it is quite an unfounded leap to suggest therefore that our forefathers indulged in them. Who among us can deny the relief an aspirin (a drug) brings for a headache. Further, I have yet to see anyone on marijuana unable to speak or walk as a drunkard is. Modern medical miracles are frequently drug based. But even with these pluses, It is hard to deny the incredible damage they do to our and other societies. And I'd have to agree with most of the other respondents that the bad far outweighs the good with respect to illicit drugs and alcohol. I am a firm believer in the power of the mind and the need to let it "wander" if you will. However, isolation tanks are a lot less addictive and just as mentally stimulating. And as the step-father of a heroin addicted daughter I can say from personal experience that whatever moments of "free thinking" she experienced with her "different mind" the emotional and physical damage she has done to herself, and her family could not have been worth it.

Evidently, your nickname informs on the fact that you have three kids. Would you give them drugs...? I don't mean today or tomorrow, but ever, would you...?

PS: I really am just posing the qustion to you, in fact completely agree with you on the fact that when used properly, drugs really are a very positive thing -at least, most drugs, I do make a few exeptions, as in crack or what not. However, I am NOT under any circumstance being critical of you by bringing yr. kids into it, like any of the regular run-of-the-mill anti-drug folk would, mmmmkay?
