What was your favorite thing to pretend when you were a young child?

I was home alone all the time as a child from the age of about nine on so I had plenty of time to pretend. I would pretend I was an astronaut and turn the sofa into a space capsule. i would pretend I was a baseball player and i would keep track of statistics as I watched the Yankees on television. I would pretend I was a football player and in between plays during Giant games I would reenact the play, diving over chairs and such as I caught the imaginary ball. I would pretend I was a scientist and create experiments (usually with baking powder or alka seltzer and something that would fizz)...

amoung the common things i pretended as a child, i was a space explorer, a tough undercover cop (unless i was in a car then i was a car thief), a WWII soldier behind the lines in nazi germany, but most often i was a '50s tv cowboy. i guess it shows growing up as an only child i watched a lot of reruns as a kid.

I liked to pretend I was a teacher. I would set up a classroom in my bedroom with my friends as the students. I had the whole set up- chalkboard, books, paddle, and all..... Ahh .... that was the day- no worries- just had to be a kid!
