Incredible Hulk Vs Superman
by Roger Stern from Amazon
Roger Stern and Steve Rude combined in 1999 and created a classic in the making. With all the feeling of a Stan Lee written story and the art of Jack Kirby, the first real Superman vs the Hulk was now every comic fans reality dream come true. Unlike the very "first" battle in Superman and Spider-man in 1981 and DC vs Marvel Comics in 1996, this was a story with just the Hulk and Superman! Superman and Lois think back to the day they first encountered the Hulk:
Superman really has his hands full when he goes west to investigate mysterious earth tremors that show up on seismic equipment. It turns out to be the Hulk. After a brief encounter, with the Hulk coming out on top, Superman realizes he overestimated and underestimated the green behemoth.
As the story continues, Lois Lane and Clark Kent get assigned news stories out west that tie into Bruce Banner and the Hulk. With Lex Corp. doing research and contract work for the Army, Lex Luthor tries to find a scheme to try to gain control of Bruce Banner and the Hulk and use them to try and destroy Superman!
And with that plot, the second encounter between Superman and the Hulk takes place. Superman really lashes out at the Hulk and does do a job on the green gargoyle. But as the story plot thickens, Lex Luthor does use a deadly gamera ray gun on the two fighting titans. The weapon is overloading when Luthor sets the gamma weapon on full blast and threatens to kill and destroy everything within a 500 mile radius. With an unlikely team work, Superman hurtles the Hulk towards the gamma gun and the Hulk destroys the weapon and saves the day! As always, Luthor worms his way out of the long arms of the law. After refraining back to the present, Superman and Lois feel real sadness for Bruce Banner for it revealed that he in reality is the Hulk and he has to carry the raging beast within him for all time.
That leaves the door open to a sequel. It is now been three years since the earth shaking first story. When it comes to sequels, the comic industry doesn't seem to be in any big hurry to quench the publics' thirst for cross-over action. Take for example 1996's Superman/Aliens, here it is six years later and now DC and Dark Horse have come out with Superman/Aliens II: Godwars (As picked as my #1 all time Superman battle/team ups) they started this event in early May, with issue #1 and issue #2 did not come out until August 6th with issue #3 due for September 4th, but now it hasn't been released yet. What's the Delay? Issue #4 is due out November 6th, by the time DC and Dark Horse get through with this cross-over of Superman/Aliens, another six years will have gone by. So get with it guys! Lets not have to wait a life-time for another cross-over with Superman and the Hulk! It all ready took my entire life to see this classic Clash Made possible!(1961)
Also check out the DC/Marvel crossover collections.

I don't know where you got your information from, but Superman is a DC Comic book Superhero. Marvel Comics owns the rights to The X-Men, The Incredible Hulk, and Jean Gray in all her incarnations (the Phoenix etc.). These two magazines compete against other and are the two largest companies in their field; just like Cocoa and Pepsi are in their fields. The chances of the two coming together are pretty slim. When you see Coke and Pepsi create, and sell a single drink then you might (just might) see Superman fighting the Hulk.
If this were to happen then eventually the Hulk would lose. The Hulk is only human and not as powerful as Superman. Superman has moved the entire planet Earth, all the Hulk could do would be to make a big hole in the ground, even if he could fly.
As far as Jean Gray, which one do you mean? Jean Gray herself is very weak and Wolverine could kill her in a heartbeat. If she went up against Superman she would knock herself out trying to use her telepathy against him, because he is powerful enough to resist her.
If the Phoenix fought Superman then the outcome might be different, in fact unknowable, since we don't know any limits to her power. The Red Phoenix could easily stand on the surface of the sun; the Dark Phoenix could be even more powerful.
You must have seen a bootleg version of the comics. Marvel and DC would never want to support each other so they will never let their characters come together in the same book. Who would win? Superman can’t be defeated, and Marvel Superheroes shouldn’t be either. Now if you tried to put Galactus up against Superman then I think you would have a good contest, but it will never happen in the official world of Superman or Marvel.

The comic i know of...Yeah, hulk does beat superman. i don't recall the name ATM, but i know the plotline...
There are two brothers in the universe. Neither realizes the other exists, and believe they are unique. When they notice each other, they decide that there can only be one, because they must be unique. The two brothers are the universes of Marvel and DC, and the heroes must fight in order to let their realm survive. if a hero falls for so much as a second, he will lose.
The fights are Supes v Hulk, wonder woman v storm, cap america v batman, spidey v superboy, shazam/captain marvel v thor, wolverine v lobo, aquaman v namor, flash v quicksilver, elektra v catwoman, and silver surfer v green lantern

The hulk and Superman met inthe first DC/marvel crossover. Hulk slammed S-man across the river (hudson river, in NYC.) Then Supes flew back and tol him to try again., This time he was braced. Hulk pounded him again and again, and couldn't budge him! Finally Superman told Hulk to calm down and relax and hulk did and reverted to bruce banner! That's because, as Hulk said, "Cape-man isn't puny like other pink-skin men!" Superman won Hulk's respect in the only way possible-- by taking a beating and coming up still able to take more.
Who could beat Jean...? The Beyonder could, that's who! There's a reason she never got to meet him...!

I think that maybe the Silver Surfer might be able to beat her. I have not heard about the Superman/Hulk battle. I have read Superman vs Spiderman and Superman vs Wonder Woman, they were both excellent.

Okay, Phoenix is fire and light incarnate, this means that she can die over and over again and she will only get stronger. Superman cannot beat her because he is not an entity, the Phoenix is an entity. Superman can still become mortal, Phoenix is not a mortal. She never will be.
