Well, not on here, because i don't ask many questions.
But in life it's happened a lot of times. One of my friends always used to answer my questions, even if they were sarcastic. Im not sure if they knew i was joking.
But eventually they caught on. Or at least i hope they did. Now i just give them a weird look whenever Im being sarcastic. I think it works.

haha... no, I haven't done that because I don't ask questions too often (about 8 a week)... However, I HOPE that I am differentiate between a serious question and a humorous question... If I'm not sure, I stay away from the question... Some people are just too serious!

there are so many people in here that ask questions sarcastically everytime we turn around and we don't know if they're serious or not.it could be just their nature of how they ask a question and be totally serious. i've gotten to know all of the sarcastic people and the serious and the ones that poke fun now and then but geez,,,with all the questions flying back and forth...does it really matter? and yes i can read......

I understand and I have had the same thing happen to me. Some people just don't get it. What I hate even more is asking a serious question and getting a bunch of smart @ss sarcastic remarks.

Often, it is hard to tell. If you give a serious answer and the person was serious, then they aren't offended by the answer.If a person is serious and we make sarcastic remarks, then they are offended. If a person is joking around, and we give a serious answer, then what does it hurt?
