Well if you are going to a community college it is more like Highschool, but of course more freedoms. If you go directly into a University than yes it can be challenging. It also depends on what type of major you pick. Some are a lot harder and challenging than others. If you are asking about how hard it is then maybe you aren't quite ready or scared about attending college? If you did well in Highschool then you should have no problems in college. So many people start before they are ready so be sure this is something you want to really do. College is very important, but nothing says that you have to start straight after Highschool. Good luck with whatever you decide. Go and talk to a counselor before signing up with classes.

college is a 180 from high school. no teachers will cut you slack, you have to catch up in your own time, no quizzes can be made up and same goes with tests. so yeah, it is tough...1 hour inside the classroom= 3-4 hours of studying you put outside the class room. also, it depends what univeristy you go to as well as what your major is. if you are doing science that is killer but like me, education, is not so bad. it is a lot of work that piles up all at the same time so you better get used to having little sleep, studying til 4 am and getting 3 hours worth of sleep because it happens more than you know. college is a hard transaction, well going to a community college where everything is more leniant.

Most people say it is not harder, just different. Personally, I thought it was harder because of the lack of structure - you don't have to go to class, they don't grade your homework, nobody's standing over your shoulder. It took more self-discipline for me in this situation. On the other hand, some pople think it's easier because they fit into this more free environment. Either way, you've gotta keep on top of your studies to succeed. College does a much better job of weeding people out than high school.

is as hard as you make it. If you don't do your studies or review your lectures then you might find it hard to catch up. Also if you party a lot and miss class is definitely going to be hard. But if you manage your time properly and do all your studies and homework it can be very easy and fun!

well it its nothing like h.s. where you can get an A with doing nothing..

in college they are not on your back so you need to keep track and find out what you missed if you miss your class.. they wont remind you everyday of a test in 2 weeks or the date in which your paper is due.. you really have to pay attention because they will not write it on the board..

If you're having trouble with high school, you may want to rethink college plans. Or find a nice easy community college to start out with, just in case.

If you're the kind of person that would ask an uninteresting, vague question like this, I'm guessing it'll be pretty hard for you, honey.

go to class, pay attention, write good notes, do all the work, and study for the exams and you should do fine. You might want to check on the professors also. Pick a Prof and rate my professors are pretty good websites.
