That's an old quote from Mark Twain, which was said tongue-in-cheek. He was really saying that clothes don't make the man. The man is who he is whether he's clothed or naked (as a nudist myself, I know this to be the case). In some cases (i.e., naked protests), the fact that people are naked causes them to have more influence than they would have if they were clothed.

No. In fact, naked people can have a tremendous impact on society. Probably more than any clothed person, in fact. In the vast majority of settings, a naked person will have tremendous impact and influence on the actions of those around him/her. If those around are attracted to the nakedness, they will be influenced to act, or at least thing in a certain way. If those around are instead repulsed by the nakedness, they will respond in kind, or at leastbe influenced to think in a certain manner.
Plain and simple: Nakedness gets results!

Clothes are worthless. In the past, there were none. They only exist these days because sinning has opened our eyes and we realized we were naked, so we covered ourselves up. Wouldn't it be weird if we didn't sin and eveyone walked around naked?

Clothes do not make the man.
Society chooses to judge a man by his clothes, though.
Naked people have an impact...unfortunately it's not usually the impact they hoped for.

If manners maketh the man, then nudists with poor social skills have even less influence.

I don't know about all of that, but I think it's funny when I see those signs at restaurants or public buildings that say "no shirt, no shoes, no service". Does that mean I could stroll in there without my pants, and everything would be okay?
