Very good question. I guess to us it is still the Iraq war because we have the entire US Army with Reserves and National Guard in one basket or should I say dust bowl. Our equipment is almost worn out and there is no way out with honor. Also, the country is in debt up to our eye balls as the latest adds go. We are creating more terrorist everyday, but still the word or strategy is "stay the course." I would say if someone was trying to destroy the USA, "Mission Accomplished." Our best defense against terrorist is neighborhood watches to locate and report terrorist to the police or military. An army can fight an army or destroy a country, but is a great target for terrorist.

There is nothing 'civil' about any war. It really is a ridiculous term. I don't know why the hell the western allied forces don't just get away from that place, and let the Iraqies do what ever they want. It's their country. Did any other country intervine in the American civil war?

If we were to leave they would work it out, it is a type of civil war, factions are fighting each other. so yes it is a civil war.they should be allowed to fight it out. we should nt have gone in.. we should get out as soon as there military and police are settled in and can take over. with massive support from the U.S. afterwards

Call it what you want, but a lot of the violence is done or instigated by foreign fighters.
It doesn't matter what you call it, if we leave and let the Islamic Extremists win, they'll be here sooner rather than later.
In case you missed it; the message of the Islamic Extremists is, convert to Islam or die.
President Bush is smart enough to know that even YOU don't want to convert.
If you did, you wouldn't be allowed to post things like this.

Many people already do and have for some time. If Bush were to call it that it would undermine the story he's told of the "war on terrorism" so you won't hear anyone in his administration saying it anytime soon.
