Alpha Lipoic Acid is very helpful in building up your immunity. It's available at Rite Aid and Walmart in the vitamin section. Also B vitamins are supposed to be very helpful once you begin to feel ill. Chicken soup is really supposed to work, and rest is always helpful. Remember, too, that whatever you have a (major) focus on, is what you create MORE of.

copious ammounts of vitamin C. If that don't work then go see a doctor because you not be fighting a chest cold. Could be something more serious.

when I get a cold I just deal with it with the help of vitamin C and vitamin D, plus lots of water to flush the system and if the coughing and sneezing is persistant i take claritan / allergy meds works better than cold / cough syrup.
