first of all, kelp is a plant, so youre asking all the wrong questions
kelp doesnt eat, its an autotroph, meaning it makes its own food via photosynthesis...breeding season is whenever because its not an animal

Kelp is a plant not an animal. So it does not eat, it obtains it's nutrients from photosynthesis. I don't think it has a breeding season. It may have a climate or a time of year that allows it to grow faster.

Kelp comes in several forms, which one are you asking about? Kelp is an algae, not a plant (although it is in the plant-like phylum of protistans) It feeds itself by photosynthesis. The Giant kelp, which is the most common algae called kelp, is a brown algae (Phylum Phaeophyta) and is called Macrocystis pyrifera.

Macrcocystis pyerifera is the scientific name of the giant kelp. It is a aquatic plant, you know, so it eats and breeds as other plants do; generally.
