I think you should call your doctor or try to get to the hospital. I think it is safe to say you're in labour.

Try going for a LIGHT walk, and make sure someone is always with you. After you lose the mucus plug labor is just around the corner. Take this time to REST though, because labor is just that, labor. And you will need to be well rested and ready to get to work. Take a warm calming shower, and go to bed try not to worry. Chances are baby will wake you rather abruptly around 3 or 4 in the morning. Good luck Honey!!!! May you give birth to the most beautiful baby in the world! Who knows maybe you will be the one to have the 300 millionth baby born in the US at around 7:26 tomorrow morning!

Have something to eat and drink and some tylenol for pain if not allergic. Try and get some sleep. You'll need your energy for when true labour starts. A person can stay pregnant for days after losing the mucous plug. If your water breaks , go to the hospital and if you don't feel the baby move as much as usual go to the hospital. Hope you have a great labour experience. I am a labor and delivery nurse, and if you called the Dr. this the reinforcement they would give you.

ITS CLOSER.....When you release the mucus plug usually within some hours (2-12) your water will break and then you know its really time. However, as a note, some times a women's water won't break so if you start feeling those pains 5-7 minutes apart go to the emergency and call your doctor. Good Luck and Best Wishes on your Baby!

Honey, sounds like you're in labor to me. Must be your first baby, so prepare for a long haul, okay? You can make it just fine though.
Eat something now, so you have energy for the night...apple juice, gatorade, etc.
Move around and get into comfortable positions. Some positions will make labor feel more severe (and theoretically more effective) like:
1) if you sit backwards on a kitchen chair, so your legs straddle the back, or if you get into a squatting position.
2) Being on all fours and swaying your hips from side to side can help labor progress.
If you want to slow labor get into the "childs pose" from yoga: knees on the ground wide apart, feet tucked under you, and bent over so your head is on the floor ( if you get on all fours, then just sit back on your feet, and lean forward, that's it.)
Good luck. Won't be long now!!!

Losing your plug doesn't mean that you will go into labor right away. It could be a week or more. If you lose your plug and don't go into labor w/in about 48 hours, it will regrow. With my first, there was over a week between when I lost my plug and when active labor came.

Yeah! You're on your way!
after you lose your plug, labor will start anywhere within the next 36-42 hours!
Good Luck!
Your contractions should eventually become closer together. However, if you start to leak fluid, head on over to the hospital sooner!

My mucus plug started thinning out on a Friday. It was 4AM Tuesday morning before my water broke. Your little one is on the way soon, congrats!
