Are you ovulating when you have the "egg white" discharge? My husband and I are trying for a baby and I had this and now no period and negetive preg test. Is it possible I didnt even ovulate even though I had the discharge? What else could be the issue?

First, you may have a false negative. Take another test to be sure. Second, you may be ovulating, but you may not be. Have you tried using an ovulation test kit? It's similar to a pregnancy test, but shows when you are ovulating. Buy some at your local drug store, then you will be sure when you are ovulating (10-14 days after you begin your period) and you can get together with your husband then. If you do not get a strong LH surge with the kit, you should go to your gynocologist to see what the problem is. If you want to get pregnant, there is no sense in waiting a few months to see if it just happens, time is precious.

It could be that you didn't ovulate and had the discharge, or it could be that you did ovulate, but the egg just wasn't fertilized! If you've been trying for over a year, I would suggest talking to your doctor. Otherwise, it just might take awhile to time it just right. It takes the average fertile couple 12 months to conceive for the first time. Good luck to you!!!!

You may have miscalculated. You could have ovulated later than you predicted and could have tested too early to detect the level of hcg in your urine. You should seek medical advice to check your hormone levels an to also make sure you are not prenant. There is still a possibility until you get a period or a blood test for your hcg levels.
