I am getting mixed answers about which type the B2600i is. I hear the B2200's were made using both types,but not sure on the B2600i.

2600I means Injected. So that mitsubushi engine in a Mazda can run better than the B-2200. There were very few B2200I engines. Just before Ford Took over. EX mazda technician!

What is this guy talking about? Again, the one above is giving incorrect information about mazda....... The B2600i is injected... The b2200 came injected 1991 and there are a few 1990 ones injected. Lets see I own two b2200's and NOT ONE I HAVE EVER SEEN IS A 2200I. The 2600i is a mazda engine and the 2600 is a mitsubishi...he did get that much right - sort of. the computer in the b2200 is also made by mitsubishi.

Why are 90% of the mazda b2200's in the scrap yard that are injected say 2200 still? Not one of them say 2200i

look under the hood...if it has a carburator then it's carburated,..if not then it's fuel injected...my guess would be fuel injected...2 points for me thank you.
