Where is a great place to live in Virginia that is affordable to an average person?

I know crime is everywhere, but where is a spot where I wouldn't get raped, mugged, offered drugs, or killed the second I get out of my vehicle?

hey, i live in virginia...go to northern virginia....the counties there are Fairfax county (2nd richest county in america) and Loudoun County (THE richest county in america)....i suggest you try great falls, a lot of washington redskins live there....
