The American auto manufacturers bet their companies' futures on massive gas guzzling SUV's and trucks and have driven the US further into dependence on foreign oil and jeopardized our nation's security. I believe it is far more patriotic to put an American flag on a VW Jetta TDI that gets 50 mpg than to put that flag on some massive Ford or Chevy hunker of a truck that is way bigger than the person actually need and gets 15 mpg -- unless, of course, you count "need' as including overcompensating for other male inadequacies. With that said, if they actually do need the truck for their livelihood, that is another story. But those people that drive Hummers to and from work in the suburbs should pause long and hard to recognize the absurdity of their behavior -- even if they do put an American flag on it.

Somehow, I don't understand your problem. People buy various makes of cars for a variety of reasons. Because the car was made in some other country doesn't mean the owner should display a sticker of that country, or that he shouldn't honor his own. One thing has nothing to do with the other.
I'm very proud of America, but I wear shoes and shirts made in who-knows-where. This computer that I'm banging away at was made in a foreign country, and I'd sure bet that yours was too.
Check where it was made. Check your clothing - - - shame on you.

Yes American auto makers make the worst cars with the worst warranties. But Toyota's are made in the USA by Americans and are sold by Americans and you know what else So are Honda's. And as an American buyer why shouldn't I want a American flag on my car. The car has nothing to do with why people put them on their car.

Are you equating the kind of vehicle you own with how patriotic you are? Choosing a reliable vehicle like a Honda or Toyota (which by the way are made over here as well) has nothing to do with patriotism. The great thing about living here and being a citizen of this country is that we have the right to choose what products we buy and use every day. Ford and GM own so many other car companies, or large portions of them (such as Ford and Volvo) that this American car line is very blurred. What about the members of our Government? Are those of them who drive driving American cars? I doubt it.

do not tell me each and every thing you take advantage of is American made. seem at your shoes (made in China), your digicam (made in Japan) and so on. we've a duty to our united states yet we've a significantly better criminal responsibility to our households safe practices and our personal pocket. maximum American made vehicle are junks. the yankee vehicle organizations are extra in touch in taking you money providing ineffective units rather of emphasizing in high quality, it truly is the authentic actuality. paying for an outstanding motorcar doesn't make you unamerican, besides our American vehicles in a number of of situations use a astonishing percentage of elements made outdoors of the country, the position as maximum overseas vehicle organizations use elements made in the country. you ought to inform your self a touch before making the above statement.

Because maybe they want better cars that will last them longer. They put American Flag stickers because they want to support the country and all who are in it. And they want to support the soldiers and everyday-people. If you thinks that's dumb, then maybe you shouldn't live in this country!
