Money Spent at restaurant=16 pounds
Money spent on travel books=3(16)-8

3 x 16 - 8
48 - 8 = 40

Therefore, Money spent on travel books equals 40.
So, In all, Cindy spent 56 Irish Pounds. =]

When you say you spend a lot of time away from the house, do you mean you are working? Or travelling? Or what? Because a dog is a big commitment, as I am sure that you are aware, and if you are not around to spend time with it, you should not be a dog owner at all. Get a cat! They don't like people much anyway. However, since you already jumped on the bandwagon and picked up one (probably very lonely) pooch, perhaps getting him/her a buddy is a good idea. Make sure they are compatable!! See if you can have them interact at the shelter a few times before getting the new dog, because if you are away a lot and leave them alone together, an accident could easily happen resulting in an injury, or worse. Again, big decision with lots of variables involved. Think about it carefully!!
