We've seen 6 years of "smaller gov't" and that is a total lie.
They are doing the total opposite of small gov't.
The gov't is growing faster than ever before. A 2.3 trillion dollar budget, and a 250 billion dollar deficit.

They ARE doing the opposite. The Republican party is no longer the party of small government and hasn't been for many years now. We have the Republicans who want big government and Democrats who want huge government. It's why there's many people like me who are right wing independents. We believe in right wing ideology but have no party, because the Republicans no longer support those beliefs. They've basically become Christian socialists.
In a number of ways, Clinton was further to the right than President Bush is. Government has enlarged and spending has gone up.

Although not a republican, I think small, and less expensive and wasteful, would be good. I do know that a democrat lead government will only grow and cost more, not to mention an increase in taxes to the middle class.
Small without socialistic programs sounds perfect.
