Have you seen on the news about Buffalo, New York? We've just had a terrrible storm and trees were knocked down all over,,,,we have no power, and it's been very cold...What fun!

I live in Buffalo. Work was closed for three days, power just came back on today. We got lucky and never lost our power in our home. Most of my friends in the area were not lucky... No school for my kids, no college for my husband. We lost about 2/3 of the tree that was in front of our house but I think it will bounce back. The park near our house looks like a bomb hit it. The tree my kids love to climb will be easier for them now -- it's horizontal!
But... It could have been a lot worse and most people have the typical Buffalo attitude about it: It happens, help your neighbors dig out and clean up, then have a drink and enjoy your time off.

i've been to buffalo and i feel for you. i lived most of my life in erie, pa so i know what life is like after 2 feet (or more) of snow. good luck to you this winter and bundle up!
