You need an importer. you can buy one at Best Buy or any other electronic store.

It depends on what you are trying to do. If you have an old iPod and you got a new one that you want to put the songs on, you just open up your iTunes library and plug in your iPod. Or, if you have an iPod and, say, you want to put music on your friends iPod, you can use a memory stick or something and load the music onto the memory stick, then put it on another computer so they can plug the iPod into their computer and get their songs on their iPod.
