I had concerns too, man. I figured Shanahan would open things up and try to put a big whoopin' on the Raiders. It looks like Mike is going to turn Jake into Trent Dilfer this year. He's gonna' rely on his defense to hold opponents to low scores.........rely on his running game to eat up the clock........rely on special teams to win the field position battle.......and only let Jake throw when he has to.
I hate that. We didn't bring Javon Walker in here to get 3 catches a game. If Denver continues to be so onesided offensively, it's going to catch up to them very soon. Jake had a kick a*s year last year. They need to put a little more trust in him until he proves that he's reverted back to his old, mistake prone, self.
But, hey, they're winning. So maybe Mike knows what he's doing. We don't get to see what goes on in practices. Maybe Jake is showing them, there, that they shouldn't put too much on his shoulders.

Shanahan has no longer accomplished lots considering that Elway retired. So what he gained a great bowl over 10 years in the past. He constantly had a descent offense yet his defenses have been constantly susceptible. i think of the replace replaced into late yet having pronounced that i'm a protection first form of guy. Shanahan replaced into an offense first coach in case you % to pass deep in the playoffs you % a reliable protection. To my way of thinking it replaced into an surprising determination to get rid of him.

It's a rare condition called "Schottenheimeritis", it's characterized by a complete lack of a passing game as soon as your team has a lead, as well as overconfidence in your defenses ability to win the game for you. It will eventually progress into loss of late-game leads and heartbreak.
It's funny, the Chargers just got over it a week ago, I guess it can only affect one team at a time. Unfortunately for the Broncos, this condition has been known to last for entire seasons.

Shanahan will go to almost any lengths to win agianst the raiders. I don't know what is wrong with the playcalling but it scares me that they can't score. The D is great but I miss the highflying days of Elway and Davis.

Why turn da offense loose with the way Jake Plummer is playing. Hes prolly waiting for Cutler to progress since this will be Plummer's last season. He got the win, it may have not been pretty but hes doing what it takes to get his team into the playoffs.

shanahan knew that the way denver's defense is playing, theres no way raiders would score again, so he just ticked off the clock with a bunch of runs so we could win and not have any miracles by raiders to come back and win

I don't know-I expected the score to be much more for the Broncos. It was boring and disappointing, and yes, conservative.
