My battery suddenly when I stopped, filled gas and it wont start; after a jump start i was told that the battery is bad; it was only 3 yrs old and had less then 50K miles. Is this normal or is there a problem with Accords?

Manufacturers often use cheap batteries on new cars, helps the sticker price. ts not a problem with your car, accords are one of the best cars ever. Just get a quality battery and it will be fine.

Nothing to do with the Accords,,,,or whatever mentioned causes...For sure you battery is not holding power or storing energy...even your charger is good[alternator]. I do suggest before you change the battery. Check the following;
a. If you got the older battery remove the cover ,if the solution[liquid] is bubling meaning your alternator is ok. There is an instrument to determine if the battery is holding energy.
Anyway 85% the battery is to be replaced.It happen to me a 6mo. old car.
