There were three guys in a bar: a doctor, lawyer, and plumber; plus the bar tender. A police man walks by just as he heard a gun shot and the bar tender yell, "Why'd you do that, Joe!" The cop walks in and arrests the plumber... How did he know it was him? (The gun was on the floor and everyone was standing looking at the shot man)

Because the bartender yelled,another man was shot(2,lawyer),
the doctor would be called Dr.....

I think the plumber shot the lawyer, because the bartender would have addressed the doctor as "Dr.", probably not Joe, and the doctor would not be standing around looking at the shot man, he'd be down there trying to help him.

it was the cops brother-inlaw that was named Joe
