I will assume that you are referring to what is described by wikipedia. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mind_map
If that is the case, then it should be pretty straight forward in terms of what you can create. The following guidelines were posted on wikipedia.
These are the foundation structures of a Mind Map, although these are open to free interpretation by the individual:
Start in the centre with an image of the topic, using at least 3 colors.
Use images, symbols, codes and dimensions throughout your Mind Map.
Select key words and print using upper or lower case letters.
Each word/image must be alone and sitting on its own line.
The lines must be connected, starting from the central image. The central lines are thicker, organic and flowing, becoming thinner as they radiate out from the centre.
Make the lines the same length as the word/image.
Use colors – your own code – throughout the Mind Map.
Develop your own personal style of Mind Mapping.
Use emphasis and show associations in your Mind Map.
Keep the Mind Map clear by using radial hierarchy, numerical order or outlines to embrace your branches
There is also a diagram showing how it should be constructed.
Essentially you are unlimited in what to add. One possibility could be earth in the center and branching off from that, the structure of the earth, then maybe how it developed, then maybe creation of the planet, and then maybe creation of the universe.
The same thing could be applied to every living thing on the planet.
I bet this is a little bit more helpful than someone saying do your homework.

Yahoo Answers is not for getting easy answers to your homework. Do your assignments, read the book, ask your teacher, learn. It's good for you.
Google.com and Wikipedia.org are also good research tools. Don't expect others to do the work for you.
Have a good day!
