Heritage can include physical things...like the thousands of miles of paved roads of which many are still in use today, or the water aqua ducts that are still providing water to villages to this day, or it could be abstracts like the "Rule of Law" which is the basis for all western law today or the monetary system that is the basis of modern monetary systems or it can be the coliseums built all over Europe (Spain still uses some of them for bull fights) or it could be technology advances like the holocausts they installed in their villas that provided central heating and which modern central heating basically has copied and of course, the military tactics they used like the Roman Square are used by modern armored units in battle still. Romans were the ones that invented the saddle for horses...we sure still use those at the Kentucky Derby...list goes on and on. Hope that helps.

This would be things that we see or use today that were invented in Rome. I think Roman Catholicism would be a good example, as would some architectural styles. There, now you only need two more! ;-)

What still exists that originated in Roman days? What did they leave us? one answer: Their forum was like the center of the city where the action occurred. Our city squares came from this idea. The first city was really a military encampment, but it was set up in a grid. Our cities and roads(urban planning) are still based on this design. do another question about the legacy left by romans.
