yes they do it helps them save money in their culture it is ok to eat dog and i hear it is tasty
but this country has different rules.
they have used cat also and i had general tao's chicken once and there was a human tobacco stained moler in it i gaged and told everyone i met of its location it closed down a year later
chicken is not stringy it was probibly cat i have eaten that also stringy mistery meat.
advise the local board of health and they will investigate in major cities they investigate annually but as long as noone complains they take a bribe and move on. its the system

NO... they may eat these animals in some Asian countries, but here they are subject to U.S. laws. Now, you *might* find some rare Chinese restaurants that have "dog" or "cat" on the menu, but they CANNOT call it something else like chicken.

They do! My uncle and cousin once ate dog meat. I'm ashamed of them but what can I do. In China they eat all kinds of meat like snakes, cats, dogs, rats, etc.

i dont think it is a common thing for chinese places to use dogs and cats, but i think it is common practice for the ones that actually do. that being said, i dont WANT to know if my favorite spot does, but if they do, man they cook a mean russell terrier.

As far as serving it in their restaurants, i doubt it. What they eat themselves, only they know. The Chinese have an ancient and mystical culture, where unusual things are consumed. You are making me hungry for 'real' Chinese food. mmmm.

To be honest, I wouldnt care. They eat them in other countries so why not here? I guess people only like to think of them as pets, but if it tastes good, why not.

Same thing happened at a place I used to go to, but they reopened after about a month. I don't think it's common.
The thought really turns my stomach though.
