ha it actually depends on the position of the fulcrum...in this case ur butt...shifting weight to your back end will exert greater force on the pedalscan be achieved by both p pulling in carying circumstances...good luck - im not a physicist - im a microbiologist - ask me about a bacteria!

i'd say 3. if you pull in the handebars you are putting a downward force on yourself and then onto the pedals, while pushing you are pushing yourself up away from the pedals.
