Could be any number of reasons....
but the truth is...she is not your best friend or even your friend if she is willing to do something that she knows will hurt you. She should have spoken to you about it first.

Something that you will eventually learn in life is that there are people who are two-faced and there are the real friends. Knowning that your so called "Best friend" went behind you back and hooked up with you ex boyfriend, tells you so much about her. Since she is your best friend, i'm assuming that you've told her details and everything your feeling, she was there when you cried over it and confessed your feelings. Even if you don't ahve feeling for that boy anymore she shouldn't date him. If she was really your best friend she would never do such a thing. There are so many surprises in life isn't there? If there wasn't life wouldn't be so fun, but these are one of the things that we hope to god that aren't true. But reality check, it's happening, right now, to YOU. Two faced girls aren't worth beign best friends with. Let her be with this guy, stop talking to her, and find someone worth your time and friendship. Someone who won't take it for granted and make the same mistakes that this girl has made. I hope you will soon find someone else that will be true to you, and won't turn you back as fast as guys change their face.

thats easy (i've had it done to me before too so i know)she knows that friends do not date best friends ex's. she didn't want you to know. i don't if you can still call her you'r best friend. oh, how did you find out? me, i found them making out behind the school (isn't that bad).But he was still MY boyfriend i broke up with him at that very second. i felt like such an idiot for a long time (just don't let it get to ya as much as it did to me).

when you said "ex", I took it as ex-bf. So is it wrong for other people to go out with your ex? Get over it. The moment he becomes your "ex" he should be free to choose whoever to replace you...and that's include your best friend.

She is either jealous or likes your ex... though, there are some signs when you can tell if she wants everything that you want. Or that all she talks about your ex.

because friends are not supposed to date your ex's ... it's in the friends rule book ... so she feels if she dates him and has you as a friend she'll be okay ... she's really decieving you and has now probably lost a good friend over a guy!!
