Honestly now, when will it stop, I don't use the word, I don't hear many people using it, except for Blacks. If it's so damn offensive to them, then why do they use it but get mad at the time a non black says it. I think it's ignorance from their part, and a way to identify or segregate themselves from the rest of America.

Because with some/most black people, there are double standards.... They walk around with a chip on their shoulder just daring a "white" person to comment or whatever, when deep down if they knew we could really care less, I mean, they are the ones degrading themselves, and making themselves look ignorant!

First of all, people besides blacks DO use the word. You just dont notice it or dont hang around people who do, which I comend you for. But all in all, it is a word that is used, is ugly, and deserves to disapear from the english language. But I dont have any clue as to how we could get it erased from our language.

It is an insult for anyone but a black person to use the n word. They use it because it is a humilating word that has been used against them, to take the sting and humiliation out ot the word they use it among themselves as family, friend ,buddy. It is a loving word of companionship.

A black person saying the "n" word is like me calling a white person a cracker or a honky. It's just a term of endearment.

I don't really care what they call each other. But I still wouldn't call somebody a name like that, knowing how much they dislike it.
It's kind of like brothers and sisters growing up... a kid might call his sister "fat-a.s.s"... but he'd knock somebody's block off it somebody ELSE called her that.
