I know they're the person who corresponds and/ or writes letters...What exactly is that? What are they writting about?
For example, I know a Recording Secretary records who attended the meeting... I've seen that! But can someone please explain my question... :) Thnx

Mostly, it's a position one holds so they can put it under the "leadership" and "academic achievement" category on their college applications.

More seriously, you're right, it is the person who writes outgoing letters. And unless your chapter is unusually active in a political cause,, the c.s. won't be doing much.
