You need to get legal adivce ASAP.
You are both responsilble for the paying of the bills etc as it is matrimonial debt. So even if you keep making the payments, and he doesnt, this will be considered in the settlement, and he may get less of what he's entitled to because he adandonded his obilgations.
You cant just stop paying, you need to talk to him and work something out, otherwise you will need to communicate with him, through lawyers or mediation.
If you stop paying both of you get the bad credit rating( thats if it is both your names)..........but even so the interest on the debt will keep accumulating and you both will be worse off.
Just remember this is matrimonial debt so you guys are both accountable.
Either way, get legal adivce, they will guide you as what to do.
Good Luck

He told you not to bother him. You tried to reason with him. It is on his credit?
If you want to, send him a letter explaining that it is his credit that will take the hit. He may not read it, his choice. I know that the couch went to your mother. Send the letter, and let it go, you tried. His credit will take a hit. Keep a copy of the explaining letter, and get a delivery receipt, and what else can you do?

If the bills are in his name then he is the one responable for paying the bill. If you are having so much trouble paying the bills and he will not help you with them then maybe what you have to do is get devorced and make him give you money..

If it's in his name, let it go on his credit. These are only materialistic things and can be replaced without his "help."

it depends on whose name it's under ... but most states are community property ... contact a divorce lawyer and see what they say, since you didn't purchase these items that may help but check with a lawyer for your rights and divorce him as quick as possible before he destroys your credit

Do the right thing and deal with his wrong doings in a separate matter. 2 wrongs don't make a right.
