It is typically when you become a teenager. so the answer is after the age of 12 years old. You leave the normal classification as a child when you become a teenager, hence why you are called a "teenager" instead of a child. But now a days there are older kids "teenagers" that still go. So it would not be unusually to see teenagers at the door. I give candy to teenager and adults as well as kids that come to my door. It does not bother me at all. But once in a while you do get the sticklers for the tradition who will actually tell you that you are to old and that it is just for kids (children).
PS. they can't tell how old you are if you have a mask on & your not 7 feet tall. wink
I hope you have a great halloween!
I cant' believe out of all the resondents that only a few are willing to seriously answer this question as I am doing. shame on you people. this is a real question and should be given a serious,INFORMATIVE , answer.

In my day I think I took it upon myself to quit when I was 12 or 13, but then we became more mature earlier back in those days. In today's world they have decided a person at 18 is more or less considered to be an adult. I sure don't see it in the range of the 18 to 20 year olds I meet these days. I have seen 21 year olds run to momma and daddy with their problems rather then solve them for themselves.

You are never to old to stop having fun. You only go around once i this lifetime so why not have a good time being here. I don't feel there is an age limit. If you enjoy what you are doing then go for it, not matter what the age.
