Nobody knows for sure how he died because his archaeological remains prove inconclusive. However, there are a few theories they have developed from archaeological research. The first is that he received a severe blow to the head, but there is some doubt to this. There is also the possibility that he received a wound to the leg that may have become infected, leading to his death. Finally, some believe he may have in fact been poisoned by one of his officials who wanted to usurp the throne. I hope this helps.
