I used to always wonder that same thing. When I used to be a vegetarian I'd make fun of my friends for eating dead meat. But then, it tastes so good!

Perhaps because we are omnivores and out bodies are designed to metabolize protein (dead animals) more effectively than flora. If we had been equiped effectively to live on grass, we would have multiple stomachs.
Besides, what makes you think that plants want to be killed and devoured?

because then i'll start thinkin about all the poor veggies that were bloom all ripe an juicy an sumone jus ended its life, cut off all its nutrients jus for me to eat it an i'll starve. Poor chickens and carrots!!!

Everything we eat is disgusting.......plants? Bugs crawl all over them and pee and urinate on them........Ketchup? Mixed with tomatoes are many dead insects and animals such as rats......hotdogs? Do you relly want to know?

Because it tastes so darn good.
The canine teeth in our mouths are from eons of eating meat. It's natural for us to crave and enjoy. (most of us, anyway) And if you believe in evolution, with it, our brains would have never developed in the manner they have. We are omniverous by nature.

People evolved as omnivores. We have canine teeth in our mouths for meat. I think we're not grossed out by it because we evolved as meat eaters and we're programmed to do it.

Cause they've been eating it since before they knew what it was and acquired a taste for it. I try not to think about it.
