Badminton is a pretty labor-intensive activity. It's called a sport because you use your body and teams win and lose. It might be a tad "sissy", but it still involves some physical motion not required by day-to-day activities.

Badminton is a sport. It's not sissy it's a fun. i wnet to a party and instead of playing the ususal ping pong or basketball, we played badminton. It's a sport because a) it's competitive b) someone invented it so it has rules and stuff. I Hope that helps!

I don't think it's sissy. It's fast paced and good fun to play. If you live where I do and the weather doesn't allow you to be outside playing tennis then it's a good option for indoors.

Or fencing.
Or ballet, even.
