This only works with two or more. Play cemetary. Have the kids lie on their backs, arms across their chests, and have them try to stay as still and quiet as possible, for as long as they can. Another variation is called museum, where you make the kids pretend they are priceless antique statues and they must stay still and quiet, like a statue, for as long as possible. They like this one cuz they can make funny poses.

As a baby sitter and now a parent, I can suggest hide-and-seek, tic-tac-toe, war (card game), old maid (card game), for younger ones try reading and having them read back, I-spy.
I cannot remember much else.

I always played hide and go seek with the kids I babysat. That was their favorite.
