I love Bordeaux (It's less brutish than some American wines). Chianti Classico is great, too.
I just relocated to wine country in Cali and can't wait to try some of the local ones!

Do you mean Rioja?
A lot of younger people appreciate it because it is frequently aged in oak barrels which gives it a slight vanilla taste.
I'm personally not so keen. If you want an affordable French wine look out for wine with the "Saint Chinian" appelation.
If you are into varietals I like gamay, pinot noir, and merlot.
My favourite whites come from Sancerre and the Loire, but don't forget the champagne.

Moscato d'Asti. It's a bubbly Italian white, like very sweet champagne. I'm also partial to Far Niente's dessert wine, Dolce.

I don't like dry wines...they usually give me a headache. I like sweeter wines, like a nice Zinfandel or a piesporter.

I really like Yellow Tail Shiraz. It's cheap but very well made. But I don't understand why this is put under the glbt section?

Hawkes Bay or Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc (NZ wines) so good - and cos i live here it's all i drink! (i'm a mild patriot (when it comes to alcohol at least - our vodka is great too!!))
