Used to have that problem, not any more for some reason. Guess I grew out of it. I used to close my eyes and count as I let it hang out, and focused on the full bladder getting released. You can also try running water, or if you have an exhaust fan turn it on.
Best way to get over it is to take the penis by the horns and make yourself pee at public urinals so you get more used to doing it instead of using the stalls.

As long as your doctor says it is not a prostate issue, then all you have is " stage Fright". It will take blocking out the distractions and focus on relaxation, so that the bladder will empty itself. Even with the door locked, some men do have this stage fright and females get it also.

You could also try running the water to " block" the noise of either someone at the door, or you urinating. You may also try sitting down, and relax a few moments before attempting to go.

What is the question ? .. Sounds like you have shy bladder as you call it. Listen to your Doctor and stop worrying. PS. Tell your son to go away if he stands near the door and it affects you that way. He will go away.. won't he ? .. Good Luck ! :)

I will recommend you to shower with your son, he might be curious of your body, plus this will help you getting over the idea of him listening and it will also keep your son from hearing when you pee.

Lots of people have a shy bladder.

Just turn on the water faucet, or radio, and focus.

Try it, it may help you.. Eventually your son will find something else to do.

good luck

Pee while you're taking a shower. The sound will mask other sounds.

And lock your son in his room!
