The best way to lose weight is a balance of exercise and nutrition. Lets start with nutrition. You need to count calories. An average person eats about 2000 calories a day. you need to cut that by half. So eating about 1000 to 1500 calories a day is good. Try eating smaller portions. Also, you probably have a slow metabolism. Try eating 5 small meals a day. Include a lot of fruits and vegetables. Exercise is the hard but fun part. if you want to loose weight fast try exercising at least 5-6 days a week with 1 day of rest. Exercise must include cardio 5 days a week and weight/resistance exercise 2-3 days a week. Cardio can include running, biking, anything that will get your heart pumping. Try doing cardio atleast an hour a day except when you do resistance exercise where you can do 30 mins of weights and 30 mins of cardio. Weight lifting should include low weights ( for you) 5 pounds is perfect and lots of reps. maybe 3 sets of 15. You should google resistance exercise. You'll be great if you can do this.

Losing weight will not always be a fast pace but one tends to lose the most weight in the beginning.
My suggestions to you would be:

No more soda. Cut back on sugars! Eat more fruits and vegetables. Get plenty of water, milk, and 100% natural fruit juices.
Keep a food journal so you can write down what you've been eating and keep track of your success.
Also, exercise. If you don't have equipment, there are household appliances that can help you with exercise.
You can lye on the floor and do crunches, this will help tone your stomach..
You can also walk or run up and down your stairs (do them in sets, a run up and down = 1 set, so do about 10 sets a day).
Start jogging around your neighborhood.
Dance crazy in your room where you have all the privacy you want. Seriously, jumping up and down to your favorite songs for 30 minutes burns off calories just as much as exercise does... so it makes a work out fun.

The old fashioned way. Eat only at mealtime. No inbetween snacks. Do not eat anything after dinner. No sweets/chips, etc. and exercise, walking, etc. And you should be able to lose a few pounds in a month. But don't look for one of those fake 10/20 lbs in a month. It won't happen and secondly, it is not healthy.

Why worry?
Be who you are.
If you want to maintain a lower weight, you have to make the decision to either eat less, or exercise more.
The math is simple:
The body burns about 2000 calories a day (average) exercise requires energy, found in more calories.

If you exercise to use up more calories, you can lose weight.
---OR---
If you eat less/fewer calories than you use in a day, you will lose weight.

As a nurse, I can tell you that 1 to 3 pounds per week of weight loss is healthy, more than that, and you can send the message to your body that you are in a starvation situation, and your body will attempt to store more as fat, and make the situation worse.

Bear in mind, at 13, your metabolism is fragile. Little things can mess you up for years.

Do as I say.

You need to do fasting for 30 days. Make sure you have your breakfast before sunrise and only start eating again (dinner) after sunset.

Do not eat anything in between not even drinks.

In the morning, take fruit first before your meal. Try to avoid red meat. Eat lots of dates and prunes for breakfast and dinner. Drink lots if water at night.

13 year old girls usually don't need to loose weight. If you're really concerned about it, talk to your parents or doctor or somebody you're comfortable with. Just remember, you are fine the way you are and don't worry about what other people think of you when it comes to weight.

Excerize and eating correctly is the best way, But do not overdo it. A 13 year old body is still developing. Watch what you eat, but at 13 please please please DO NOT go on a diet.
This can mess up your body so much more that anything eles you could do.
Excerize and watching what you eat is the best advice.
And always be happy with yourself. Love what god has given you. He loves you no matter what you look like.
