(Art) History of Colors?

I have his assignment from my art teacher in which I have to find the history of colors, like how they were created, I also have to add the mixtures and etc. that create those colors, anyone know some good links that might help? Thank you so much!

Well, I looked up the history of the color green, as that is my favorite, and here is the link below. I hope it helps with the other colors as well. I do know that some colors were used more by royalty due to how expensive they were to make. The second link describes more about the color blue, for example.
