You could lose 5 lbs in water in a week. But not fat.
One pound of fab is 3,500 calories. You would need to burn an extra 17,500 calories to lose 5 lbs of fat in 7 days
That is 2,500 calories *extra* per day!
A typical woman needs between 1500-2000 calories per day for maintenance - therefore you would have to burn 500-1000 calories per day in exercise - and *not* eat anything in order to lose that much weight in 7 days! (Maybe if you joined the Marine Corps - they can burn 10,000 calories per day, and eat 5,000 calories and lose weight.)
Let's say you weigh 125 lbs. Aerboic exercise (running, jumping rope) will burn about 95-100 calories per hour.
You need to reduce your normal caloric intake by 250-500 calories per day, plus do perhaps 2 hours of aerobic exercise per day -- then you could lose 5 lbs in 4- 5 weeks.
Try to lose 1 lb per week - a more realisitic and healthy goal.

First off, that's a bit too much in a small amount of time. Losing weight in a short time is not healthy for the body...try to aim for a pound a week, 2 tops. First, see approximately how many calories you are eating a day, then try to cut about 500 a day. This will result in a pound lost in one week, but CUTTING CALORIES CA BE DANGEROUS. Do NOT go under 1000 calories a day, at all! This is very, very detrimental to your overall health. Try around 1,500 calories a day. If you want to lose more, then exercise! Join a gym, or start running, even swimming. This will aid you in weight loss, as well as building muscle. But make sure to refuel after a workout with protein. You can buy a powder, or you can get it naturally from other sources, such as fish, chicken, beans, eggs (watch out for an egg's high cholesterol) and even organic greek yogurt. Just make sure to eat healthy (no white breads; whole grains only, and cut down on the sweets) and exercise! Ps, if you are having a hard time cutting calories, one way is to cut sugary drinks, and switch to water. And drink plenty of water! :) I hope I helped!

It depends how much you weigh right now. If you are a 300 lb lass then Yes, it would be pretty easy with nutrition and exercise. If you are 5'8, 120 lb then No, it would be extremely difficult to lose 5 lbs. Even if you did, it would be muscle and bone mass which is very unhealthy.
If you want to lose as much FAT as possible, assuming you are not anorexic or underweight, I would advise doing cardio 2x every day, 30 minutes each (running, biking, swimming) if you can handle it. Lift weights twice a week, upper body. You won't need to do lower body because all the cardio will take care of that. Weightlifting will speed up your metabolism.
For food, eat six SMALL well-balanced meals a day. I'm not gonna get into nutrition, plenty of websites for that. Smaller meals are digested faster and more efficiently. Do not starve yourself - this will only make your metabolism slow down. And cut out all excess fatty, fried, sugary foods and alcohol.

If you eat healthy food and exercise, then you should be losing no more than 1 pound per week - any more than that and you will be losing muscle mass.
Two weeks is a very short term goal for weight loss. You should decide how many pounds you would like to lose and then set a long term goal.

Drink a lot of water! And you will get full and not want to eat much. And drink atleast 3 glasses of milk a day for the 5 days. That way you are not mal-nourished. It worked for me!
