I have to go on a transatlantic trip with my 8month old baby. I am so stressed about how will i carry so much stuff with me..... diaper bag,my baby,my purse, boppy pillow(can't survive without it at all),plus a small bag for myself. So i decided to buy a big size diaper backpack and a really comfy and easy to tie baby carrier. So i need ur suggestions.
What's ur opinion about playtex hip hammock?
baby bjorn....is it easy to snap on?

I like the Baby Bjorn athletic (?) one. There are two styles, this one is for people who carry the baby longer. It's supposed to be better for your back. But definitely use it a few times to get it adjusted correctly. Can you borrow one from a friend to see if your child likes it first?

Can you survive without the boppy? It's so huge. As for the flight, my friend took her 3 small children to France. She said going there wasn't bad, b/c it was an overnight flight and they slept. But coming back she had to entertain them the whole way, and she was exhausted when she landed. Just an FYI.

I'm planning to take a long flight with mine next summer, and I'm already scarred!

Best of luck.

I would buy a sling, not a front carrier. Over the Shoulder Baby Holder is one good option, but there are many different ones. Maya Wrap is also good.

See if you can find an inflatable nursing pillow, I'm pretty sure they make them. Or figure out how to nurse in the sling and then you may not need the Boppy.

The baby bjorn is excellent! I use it everyday. Its pretty easy to use. Onse you adjust it the first time, you never have to adjust it again. I am scared of the hammock.
