cut off leaf head, go get 2 a/c flex ducts off a construction site ( free ) 1 big, one small...
put small one over tree, tie both ends, put big one over small one, tie top & mulch bottom!

Honestly,I wish I knew
I've brought mine indoors and they're drying out a bit,but at least they won't die of frost.
Mine are ornamental musa and need to stay above 5 degrees c to be happy. How cold does it get in South Carolina?
