Could you tell me why Wikipedia wasn't yet bought as a commercial entity, like Google bought YouTube?

At present Wikipedia is a database of answers compiled by web-users and some of their own editors and relies heavily on donations from individuals... maybe there's just not as much advertising potential as there is with YouTube.

Both are risky ventures, as the risk of copyright/defamation lawsuits etc is higher than most due to the fact that the web-users effectively control the site's content...

Cause Youtube is fun and wikepedia is....well....like a dictionary....just boring!!!
